About TranslatorsAgainstWar e.V.
TranslatorsAgainstWar e.V. is an initiative that emerged at the end of February 2022. Since September 2022, we are a registered non-profit association. We translate (written) and interpret (oral) from Ukrainian and Russian into German and vice-versa.
With our voluntary work, we support people affected by the war in Ukraine, as well as organizations and initiatives that help people in need. Our network includes professional translators and interpreters. In addition, numerous dedicated individuals without a linguistic background participate in the initiative. The TranslatorsAgainstWar initiative does not pursue any commercial interests.

How do I get a free translation?
Register for free on app.translatorsagainstwar.de and submit a translation request. Include your language pair, type of translation (written or spoken), topic, and preferred date — we'll then match you with a volunteer language expert.
Which languages are supported?
We primarily support Ukrainian, Russian, German and English. Our network includes professional translators and interpreters as well as dedicated volunteers for all common combinations of these languages.
Is the support really free?
Yes, completely free. TranslatorsAgainstWar e.V. is a registered non-profit association that operates entirely on a volunteer basis. There are no costs whatsoever for people affected by the war.
Which documents can be translated?
We translate official letters, forms, medical documents, school certificates, rental agreements and more. Please note: We cannot provide officially certified translations required by authorities.
How can I volunteer as a translator?
Register on app.translatorsagainstwar.de as a translator or interpreter. No formal linguistic training is required — good language skills are sufficient.
